Curriculum and Materials Development Unit

Welcome to the Curriculum and Materials Development Unit (CC) at Boğaziçi University!

Founded with a vision for innovation and educational excellence, our unit stands at the forefront of crafting dynamic learning experiences. We are the architects behind the curriculum and syllabi that shape the educational journey of our students, meticulously selecting and developing educational materials to ensure the most effective learning outcomes. Through a blend of research-backed methodologies and hands-on experimentation, we strive to empower both educators and learners alike with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in today's rapidly evolving landscape.

Mission

The mission of the Curriculum and Materials Development Unit (CC) is multifaceted. We are tasked with determining the learning objectives of the English Preparatory Program and designing comprehensive curricula and syllabi for each program level (P1, P2, P3, and P4), aligning them with both our established objectives and the evolving needs of the global community. Our commitment extends to providing students with essential language skills through our meticulously crafted in-house CC materials and the selection of textbooks tailored to our objectives and programs. Moreover, we aim to cultivate an environment where students have abundant opportunities to apply and refine their acquired skills, fostering autonomy, critical thinking, creativity, and integrity through a blend of in-class activities, tasks, and portfolio assessments. Additionally, we offer guidance and support to instructors in order to ensure smooth implementation and address any curriculum-related issues that may arise.
